A n Understanding the Evil Eye and Its Effects
The Evil Eye
is considered the mildest of the three major spiritual afflictions.
Often, the affected person is unaware of it and does not seek treatment.
However, it can cause symptoms such as heaviness, exhaustion, and a loss of energy.
In most cases, the Evil Eye affects a person subtly, but in some instances, it can strike a specific ability or quality, leading to a noticeable and lasting impact. For example:
A
student who was performing well suddenly fails and loses the ability to
succeed academically after people start admiring and discussing their
success.
An athlete or skilled professional suddenly experiences a decline in performance or repeated accidents.
Babies are particularly vulnerable, showing signs such as fever, loss of appetite, and sleep disturbances.
The Connection Between Evil Eye and Jinn
The Evil Eye can create an energetic weakness that allows Jinn (spiritual beings) to interfere, often causing disturbances in the home. This is believed to be the reason behind children’s night fears, as Jinn take advantage of the vulnerability caused by the Evil Eye to frighten them.
To address this issue, both the child and the house must be treated for the Evil Eye and spiritual disturbances.
Types of Evil Eye
Unintentional Evil Eye:
Some individuals naturally possess the ability to cast the Evil Eye,
even without meaning to. Their admiring gaze can spiritually break or
weaken something. This effect cannot be explained by physical laws, and
it happens only with the will of Almighty Allah.
Jealousy-Driven Evil Eye: This type of Evil Eye often carries jealousy and malice, intentionally or unintentionally. It can affect:
A person’s health, energy, or success.
A family’s well-being.
A shop, business, or even a household item.
Group-Induced Evil Eye: When a group of people repeatedly talk about someone’s success, beauty, strength, or possessions, their combined attention can drain that person's energy, making them feel heavy, lazy, or demotivated. The same effect can be observed in businesses, homes, and objects.
Jinn-Induced Evil Eye: In some cases, the Evil Eye is linked to Jinn activity, leading to spiritual and physical disturbances.
Misconceptions
Many people mistakenly believe they are affected by the Evil Eye when they are actually victims of sorcery or black magic. While sorcery is an intentional spiritual attack, the Evil Eye is often unintentional and occurs due to admiration, jealousy, or excessive attention.
How to Protect Yourself from the Evil Eye
To prevent or cure the effects of the Evil Eye, consider the following:
Recite protective prayers such as Ayat-ul-Kursi, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Nas.
Perform Ruqyah (spiritual healing) to cleanse negative energy.
Avoid excessive public admiration of personal success, beauty, or achievements.
Use protective symbols like reciting "MashaAllah" when complimenting someone.
Keep your blessings private to reduce negative attention.
By
understanding and taking the right precautions, one can protect
themselves and their surroundings from the harmful effects of the Evil
Eye.
